Roe-damê Bî

Roe-damê Bî (/ˈroe/ /ˈdamɘ/ [permanent] [society]) is a subtropical Town located in the Bèmîgêthaki Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Roe-damê Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Roe-damê Bî was founded by Glynis Phomageet Bresmeshêv, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Roe-damê Bî has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Roe-damê Bî receives an average of 252 cm/y (99 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Roe-damê Bî covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 3058 m (10032 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Roe-damê Bî was founded durring the late 11th century, by Glynis Phomageet Bresmeshêv. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Glynis Phomageet Bresmeshêv.

Roe-damê Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Roe-damê Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Roe-damê Bî is buildings are built arround a single premissive baked earthen mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The town's minimaly adiquite have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Roe-damê Bî seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do.

Civic Infrastructure

Roe-damê Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Roe-damê Bî.

Roe-damê Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Roe-damê Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Roe-damê Bî possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Roe-damê Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Roe-damê Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Roe-damê Bî's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

In Roe-damê Bî most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.

The Horsefly, Giant near Roe-damê Bî are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Roe-damê Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves gestures to channel Necromancy energies of tier 3 via recitation of scripture.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Roe-damê Bî was rocked by a string of powerful winter storms. The worst of the disaster struck The storm coated everything in a thick layer of ice and freezing countless animals, plants, and people to death. Roe-damê Bî lost 145 people, and 379 livestock in the disaster.. The disaster is remembered as the Agony Screams, after the sounds of the winds.
